This powerful recording was made in February of 1995 during a unique moment of unexpected collaboration. We were as surprised as everyone when the Earth Mother expressed herself for the first time through the intuitive gifts of Michele Mayama.
The Saturday evening this recording took place was at the end of a three-part series with Michele serving as facilitator and channel for a presentation about the nature of our planetary evolution. We knew I was to set up my keyboards and sound equipment, but we had no idea what was to occur.
The planned session ended, and there was a kind of energetic shift. I was directed to begin playing, and I started with a sequence of tones I had worked with several months earlier. Then, a voice began to guide us into a process of listening to the Earth. Soon, another shift of energy happened, and a powerful presence we had not worked with before continued as this extraordinary moment formed itself.
I felt engaged in a wondrous collaboration of Heaven and Earth, as we wove our creation into being. This presentation, though planned at some level, was not known to us, so clearly was not rehearsed nor repeatable. I am grateful I was set up to record what was taking place. It was one of the most profound moments of my life, and remains so to this day.
